Hyundai Safety

You can't overstate the importance of keeping the people you love safe, which is why we can't overstate the importance of always striving to make our safety features more advanced and innovative.

Hyundai Vehicles Safety

A better way to deal with accidents? Don’t have them.

Hopefully, you don't spend a lot of time thinking about all the bad things that can transpire while driving, but we sure do. Because that's the best way to create technology that prevents them from happening in the first place. Automatic Emergency Braking that senses when a crash is imminent and automatically applies the brakes. Lane Departure Warning that informs you with audible and visual cues if you begin to drift out of your lane. Brake Assist that provides you with more stopping power when an emergency stop is detected. Electronic Stability Control and a Traction Control System to prevent your vehicle from skidding. And because safety should never be a luxury, we offer these advanced features across our entire line of models.

2018 IIHS Top Safety Pick +

It's always been our aim to engineer the safest cars in the industry, which is why it's always exciting when we receive accolades by safety experts for a job well done. For 2018, seven Hyundai models, the Sonata, Santa Fe, Santa Fe Sport, Elantra, Elantra GT, Ioniq HEV and Tucson, were awarded Top Safety Pick Awards from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Our Sonata, Santa Fe, Santa Fe Sport and Elantra models earned a Top Safety Pick Plus Award. The "plus" signifies the vehicles earned the highest possible rating for front crash prevention in IIHS testing.
